Cornelius Nozeman (1721-1786)

Cornelius Nozeman, a Dutch minister of the Remonstrant Church and an amateur ornithologist, began work on this fine contribution to Dutch ornithology. The project took over 60 years to complete. The renowned artist and engraver Christiaan Sepp drew the illustrations and Nozeman wrote the text for the first two volumes. The work was carried on by three generations of the Sepp families.
